Nous sommes
R&P.
Fondé en 1987, Reich&Petch est un cabinet de design international et multidisciplinaire. Notre travail influence la façon dont les gens apprennent, interagissent, vivent et, en fin de compte, comprennent le monde qui les entoure. Tout en utilisant notre processus ouvert et collaboratif, nous rendons le contenu accessible grâce à un design mémorable. Nous transformons les idées en milieux engageants et transformons les possibilités en résultats.
Nous allons au-delà du design, nous avons une incidence.
Nous travaillons auprès de musées, d’institutions, d’organismes culturels, d’entreprises, d’agences et d’attractions, en créant des projets de toutes tailles, de 250 à 250 000 pieds carrés. Nous aimons travailler avec ceux qui aspirent à avoir une incidence sur la scène mondiale.

Nous allons au-delà de nos professions. A registered architect, Tony formed R&P in 1987 with Whit Petch. He has led hundreds of projects, cultivating more than 40 years of international experience as both an exhibit designer and architect. His broad experience makes him an exceptional team leader with the keen ability to equally motivate and inspire staff, collaborators, and clients. He has a deep love for museum collections and is an avid vintage toy collector, with a large collection of model car toys.

In 1997, Stephen joined R&P and in 2008, became a Principal at the firm. As former Head of Exhibit Design at the Royal Ontario Museum, his skill is in his ability to elevate projects from beautiful and functional to unique, unforgettable, and timeless. With a bespoke style of dress that emphasizes his highly creative and design-focused personality, Stephen stands out in any room he walks into.
« Being able to create museums around the world was a significant turning point. To be entrusted to create the National Museum of Saudi Arabia was especially revealing: how interesting it was and how we were able to excel, for the Museum. The project opened so many doors, and still does. »

Pauline is a registered architect, project manager, and exhibit designer who has been an essential member of the R&P team since 1998 and Principal for over 7 years. Engaged in the design world on many fronts, Pauline is also on the board for a number of cultural organizations, working to promote the concepts of accessibility to the larger museum community.
“The Smithsonian’s Hall of Mammals was where I was first introduced to designing exhibits for natural history museums, a focus I have since maintained for 20 years. I have had the pleasure to work with the Smithsonian once again to redesign their new Deep Time Fossil Hall. Working with NMNH has been a truly remarkable experience.”

Gonzalo is an Associate at R&P, focusing on a broad range of exhibit design and architectural projects. Since joining in 2005, he has become an integral member of the firm, contributing his extensive experience in project management, contract documentation, and contract administration. Gonzalo consistently applies rigor to all project phases, while effectively overseeing production staff and our consultant teams.

Niki drives the success of R&P by sourcing business development opportunities and evaluating an opportunity’s potential to create long-term value. She has been with R&P for over ten years working closely with the firm’s designers as well as outside partners, developing strategic business development initiatives that will take R&P into the future.

Peter Lam is a Senior Designer and Licensed Architect. He has over 15 years in design and management experience in the culture, hospitality and retail sectors. With experience in all design and build stages, He is adept at bringing brand strategies and communication plans to life while considering the demands of budgets, site conditions and schedules.

It was a creative challenge to present the political and fragile tensions between the government and the indigenous people thoughtfully and with sensitivity using a rich collection of artifacts, maps and images in the iconic building by Canadian architect Douglas Cardinal.

Cathy is a Registered Interior Designer with over 10 years’ experience at R&P. She analyzes the clients’ goals and objectives to create design solutions that are unique, compelling, and attractive as well as both functional and safe. Cathy is committed to her project work; she even gave up eating calamari for three months when she worked on Science North’s Creatures of the Abyss.

With over 10 years of experience in Environmental Graphic Design, Vivien prides herself in developing strong conceptual graphic solutions that are aesthetically captivating, approachable, and accessible to the client’s end user. Vivien is a powerhouse both in the office and out. Whether it’s tennis, volleyball, or a spur-of-the-moment pizza tour, Vivien is always on the go.
« Toronto Zoo’s Panda Interpretive Centre was one of the most memorable projects of my career. It ran smoothly with few bumps or mishaps, and was the first of many projects where I held a lead role to showcase my creative potential. »

Prior to joining the R&P team in 2018, Emilio worked at the Royal Ontario Museum for 18 years where he designed and produced exhibitions of all sizes and types. Considered a true museum “insider,” he is committed to bringing creativity and innovation to the forefront for museums everywhere. Emilio is a very talented designer focused on developing meaningful, visitor-first exhibition experiences.

“I grew up in Washington, DC and would frequently visit the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. I have lots of memories of the Museum and its collections, so working on Entertainment Nation feels like I’ve come full circle.”

Kazumi is an Interior Designer with over ten years’ experience. At R&P, she focuses on the firm’s retail, office space, and custom interiors projects. Kazumi focuses on the project vision by driving the design forward. Outside of the firm, Kazumi spends a lot of time outdoors, enjoying camping and snowshoeing in the winter.

“Beyond Human Limits was a fun project where we could be creative with the design. Because we were creating an immersive kid-friendly environment, we were given a lot of freedom. I loved learning about extreme sports and the athletes featured within the exhibit.”

« The Moon: A Voyage Through Time was a fascinating exhibition that sparked both my interest and curiosity. The articulated spaces spectacularly used the captivity of the moon to convey the rich history and knowledge of Islamic art. A visit to this exhibit led me to ambitiously achieve a position as a designer with Reich&Petch. »

“Because of my fascination with Space and Science Fiction, the Aga Khan Museum’s The Moon: A Voyage Through Time inspired me to look into a career at R&P. Samantha is a former museum audience insight analyst, communicator, and project coordinator. As Marketing Coordinator at R&P, she brings her knowledge of visitor research to the firm’s strategic pursuits. In her free time, she can be found designing Dungeons and Dragons campaigns or knitting.
A lifelong Torontonian, I grew up visiting and working on R&P projects without even knowing it, as a visitor volunteer and employee. I have fond memories of leading kindergarten classes through the ROM: Biodiversity Gallery, helping them make connections between the different kinds of life on display and inspiring awe and wonder of the natural world.

With a background in museum studies, Aaliyah (Anissa) has worked in the industry for 5 years, gaining technical skills in collections and project management, curatorial practice, and data analysis. Her role is to review and input project specifications for the R&P design team. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, painter, and long-distance runner.
“The Smithsonian Institution has been a household name in my family for many years. My favourite project has to be the Entertainment Nation gallery due to the time and attention paid to the differing genres of media (music, film, television, etc.) throughout history. Having the opportunity to work for R&P and get behind-the-scenes experience working on several projects, has been a dream.”

L’exposition Deep Time explore 3,7 milliards d’années de vie et de changement mondial sur Terre. L’exposition présente plus de 700 fossiles, tout en intégrant les collections et l’expertise de scientifiques de plusieurs disciplines, d’une manière unique et inattendue. L’exposition illustre également comment les humains sont le résultat des forces de l’évolution, et comment nous influençons le changement mondial et l’avenir de la Terre. On s’attend à ce que la galerie soit l’une des plus visitées au monde, en attirant plus de 50 millions de visiteurs au cours de la prochaine décennie.

L’Allée des artefacts est le superbe espace d’orientation central au Musée des sciences et de la technologie du Canada qui a été transformé, reliant les galeries du musée par une voie de circulation entre les collections, installations et démonstrations. « L’Allée » est composée « d’aurores boréales » (une installation de son et lumière) à l’entrée principale, d’une scène de démonstration et d’un noyau central, ainsi que d’une galerie temporaire au terminus, dotée d’entrées menant vers d’autres galeries sur sa voie. Le résultat est un parcours visuel époustouflant.

Ce programme d’orientation apporte une nouvelle personnalité et un milieu de travail accueillant au déploiement national de nouveaux locaux à bureaux de Deloitte Canada. Au-delà des éléments typiques de la plupart des programmes d’orientation, Deloitte propose une gamme complète de pictogrammes adaptés à sa marque, de marqueurs de sol sculpturaux saisissants ainsi qu’une approche de navigation unique s’adaptant au concept ouvert des espaces de travail du personnel de Deloitte. Le résultat est un système d’orientation inspirant et contemporain.
