Sporting Life Announces 1st Store in British Columbia
In July 2018, Sporting Life announced the next step in their Canadian roll-out program: expansion into British Columbia for the first time, set to open in fall 2019 at the Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby. The expansion of the high-end sporting retailer aims to position Sporting Life as a national brand, with stores now positioned in four Canadian provinces.
“Vancouver’s renowned active and health conscious population provides an ideal foundation for launching Sporting Life on the West coast,” said Sporting Life co-founder and CEO David Russell in article for Retail Insider. “We’ve had our eye on this city since Patti (co-founder of Sporting Life) and I lived in Vancouver years back. We see the value in this market and believe in the retail environment. We hope to ultimately have three stores in the greater Vancouver area.”
Brentwood’s Sporting Life will be 44,000 square feet of beautiful, nature-inspired retail space and will feature attractive interiors and an assortment of designer brands, following suit with the retailer’s other stores across the nation.
R&P has been involved with the roll-out program of Sporting Life from the beginning, and will continue with the brand to accomplish their goal of opening 20 stores across Canada in the next few years. We’re thrilled to be working with Sporting Life to realize their nation-wide roll-out program.
